Driver Safety at Mine Sites

It seems obvious that driving safely in a mining environment would be standard issue, but it’s vitally important to abide by the traffic rules whether underground or on the surface. Driving Safety at Mine Sites is critical as large machinery is deployed all over mine sites.

Moving vehicles are commonplace at mines. Your immediate safety can be compromised if you don’t keep an eye out for vehicles around you. Large cab forward vehicles cannot easily see right in front of them. At Driven Training, we will teach these important skills.

We cover pre start vehicle procedures, give way and road signs, (remember mines are not like public roads). Safe loading of vehicles is covered along with restraint systems and how to use them effectively.

Seat belts are important part of training as incorrect use can damage your body in the event of an accident.

Communicating with other vehicles around you is an important part of mine driving safety.
